This pandemic truly has shaken us out of our pilot mode and divorced us from the delusion that the future is in our control. It has forced us to look deep into ourselves, deep enough so we can see our most ludicrous tendencies.
Our unacknowledged need to escape, our taste for adventure, novelty, our thirst for action, glory, and beyond all, our surprising ability to cope without any excitement, to create joy out of the most basic things.
